Simple #fmsphotoaday #fms_simple #fmspad #december #2016 Turning a light off is simple, right? I mean, you just push or flip the switch and that's it. Like filling the water pitcher or the ice trays when you empty them, or doing your own god damned dishes, or saying hello, goodbye, good morning/evening/night, please and thank you. Or being thankful and appreciative to the hand that feeds you and selflessly takes care of you. Or respecting other people's customs and property. But no, apparently you need more f'ing degrees than Stephen Hawking to those things. And as it turns out I have to share time and space with people like that. Good thing the Lord and dad can see the truth from up there. Karma's a bitch and life will come back to bite you in the a**. Sorry, had to vent, it's been an awful and hurtful week.

Bookshelf #fmsphotoaday #fms_bookshelf #fmspad My parents used to be members if the Dominican Society of Bibliophiles (Sociedad Dominicana de Bibliófilos). Books were delivered home on a regular basis and were eagerly read by them. I, following their example, read them as well (as well as all the encyclopedias that were at my reach). Aside culturally enriching, these books were beautiful works of art. There's a whole bunch of them at their place, just waiting for me to read them once again.

Beauty #fmsphotoaday #fms_beauty #december #2016 I used to love Christmas and all that it entails, but I've been dreading the arrival of this one for a while. This will be the first one without dad and I can just feel it will not be the same. I wish we could just jump straight to February since dad's birthday is coming up on January as well and I know it will be hard. Nevertheless I have to be strong for mom, keep up face and set up the Christmas tree soon. Give me strength, beautiful light.
