Bridge #fmsphotoaday #fms_bridge #fmspad #july #julio #2017 There's a town called Samaná on the Noreastern coast of the Dominican Republic that has several little islands or keys that are connected by several pedestrian bridges. The Samaná Bay is in itself beautiful, but the view of the keys, the bridges and the boats on the harbor make up for a magical view.

Tiny details #fmsphotoaday #fms_tinydetails #fmspad #july #julio #2017 Today was long, complicated as very hot (come to think of it they have been that way lately). And when I say hot I mean "oh my God when did I die and went to hell" hot. I sweated like a turkey the day before Thanksgiving. All I could think about was getting home and taking a long shower and topping it off with with talcum powder. Yes, I know it's supposed to cause cancer, but I already willingly put so many toxins in my body that some powder won't make a difference. It's the tiny detail that sets me on the right track to feeling clean and comfortable. Go figure.

Darkness arrives 207/365 #project365 #julio #july #2017 When asked about the results I lied thru my teeth. It was easier than explaining that today I scratched several items off the list. Besides, if there's nothing they can do about it why preoccupy them at all? I guess I need to face the fact that sooner rather than later it will inevitably fail on me. At least we had an excellent run at the beginning (hell yeah we did!). And to avoid the risk of being called a drama queen, because people are just mean that way when they don't f'ing understand what you're living and facing, I'll just put of my fake smile and if ever asked I'll truthfully keep on lying. Fake it until you make it (or die from it).

Trio #fmsphotoaday #fms_trio #fmspad #july #julio #2017 2/3 of this trio was given to me by my mother on my 15th birthday (the one closes to the hand replaced the original one a few years ago after its stone fell off). The outer ones used to belong to mom, the middle one used to belong to my great grandmother. The inscription contains the initials of my great grandfather's first and middle name and his complete last name. It also states their wedding date, December 19, 1888. One day (hopefully) they will be passed on to new generations.

Balloon #fmsphotoaday #fms_balloon #fmspad #july #julio #2017 These might be a tad deflated (kinda like me lately) but they're still balloons.

Childhood #fmsphotoaday #fms_childhood #fmspad #july #julio #2017 Childhood is but a fleeting moment. When you're a child you can't wait to grow up, when you grow up all you wish is to be a child again. Growing up sucks! The child in this pic is yours truly with my sister at the National Botanic Garden in the early 80's. My sister was studying architecture at the university and photography was among the subjects she had to take. Decades have passed since this, but I clearly remember her taking me to different places in order to complete her class assignments. How I wish we were back in those times.
