Te llevaste muchas personas buenas, pero sobre todo te llevaste la mitad de mi corazón, te llevaste a mi papá. Me dejas destrozada por dentro, vacía y apagada. No obstante todo, gracias por las experiencias adquiridas y las lecciones aprendidas. Ahora te toca a tí, 2017, el hacerme una mejor persona. Y de esto hace un año 365/366 #project366 #december #2016 Me pasé las navidades literalmente "podrida" con una amigdalitis que me mantuvo con fiebre de 40 por varios días. El 30 no aguanté más y me fui a emergencia "solininga". Me querían dejar interna, pero el año anterior me había pasado el 31 en la clínica con mami y no estaba dispuesta a pasarme el año nuevo en lo mismo, mucho menos a amargarle las fiestas a mis padres. La mejor decisión que tomé, fue el último año nuevo con papi.

She was having linner at this restaurant's original location and asked me to go by. When I got there she offered me some of her sushi. Now, understand this, I am a person who likes her meat crunchily burnt (any slight appearance of blood renders my meal inedible), so my answer was "Are you insane? Raw fish?" She insisted and gave me a whole speech about trying new things and going out of my comfort zone, and being I was hungry (and the fact that she is the boss of me) I decided to go for it. Then something marvelous happened: I fell in love with sushi. I've tried variations and different places, but nothing, absolutely nothing compares to @samuraird 's Kamikaze and Philadelphia rolls. A little piece of heaven on earth!

En alerta 363/366 #project366 #december #2016 En esto se ha convertido vivir en la República Dominicana. Ves tres motores, un camión de transporte de valores y no ves carros delante de ellos, el tránsito paralizado, de inmediato piensas que es un atraco. Al final fue un pendejo saliendo de Sonoma que estaba bloqueando el tránsito (5 minutos, gracias). Mientras tanto, te asustas, miras para los lados, tratas de encontrar una vía de escape, esperas el tiroteo, piensas que te van a atracar en el tapón o a matar en el intercambio de disparos, te desesperas... En fin, hay que amar mucho a este país para seguir viviendo aquí.

Como debe ser 361/366 #project366 #december #2016 Mi amigo Manuel me enseñó a servir cerveza con espuma. Estaba escéptica al principio pues, como toda buena dominicana, entendía que la cerveza se sirve por el borde, sin espuma, o se bebe "a pico e botella". La explicación es complicada, algo de las moléculas y anhídrido carbónico y el sabor, pero lo cierto es que la cerveza sabe muchísimo mejor y "cae" fabulosa en el estómago (y no hay que ir tanto al baño). Inténtelo un día. Le daré las gracias a Manuel de su parte después.

Last thing I read #fmsphotoaday #fms_lastthingiread #fmspad #december #2016 Today 2 men armed with M-16's and tear gas bombs shot 2 security men from an armored car that was transporting money from a branch of the most important Dominican banks that is located at one of the biggest department stores of the country, which is itself located at the most busy intersection of the city. Earlier this year the same thing happened at a mall on one of the exclusive areas of the city. My country is falling apart, things like this happen every day with no punishment because the "authorities" are too busy stealing from the rest of us. God help us all.

Los primos de los países 360/366 #project366 #december #2016 #family #familia Se dice que todos los dominicanos tenemos un primo o un tío en Nueba Yol. Yo no sólo los tengo en Nueba Yol, tengo "un viaje" de familiares regados por todo el mundo. Estos son Guillo y Cristina Emilia, los hijos de mis primos Fausto y Sara Gilda, que viven en Ohio y hoy vinieron a traerle una sonrisa navideña a mi mamá. Family is family. ❤️
